Accessibility still at the heart of PlayStation's concerns... Sony rolled out the new accessibility tags on the PlayStation Store for PS5 in early April, providing a personalized gaming experience tailored to the needs of all gamers. From visual features to control options, explore the six accessibility categories available for unlimited gaming enjoyment.

Good news for gamers everywhere... PlayStation announced in a blog post on April 3, 2023 that accessibility tags will debut this week on the PlayStation Store for PS5 consoles. Designed to make games more accessible to all gamers, the tags will allow developers to highlight accessibility features in their games.

When browsing the game portals on PlayStation Store, users will be able to view the list of accessibility features by pressing the Triangle button. Accessibility tags will be available for PS5 and PS4 games on the PlayStation Store for PS5, with the ability to compare accessibility tags between the two versions.

The accessibility tags are divided into six categories, offering a wide range of settings tailored to the needs of gamers. These include visual and audio accessibility features, subtitle options, control options, difficulty settings, and online communication features such as chat transcription. Developers have access to nearly 50 accessibility tags to customize the game experience to the specific needs of users.

This progressive accessibility update on the PlayStation Store for PS5 will begin with games such as Days Gone, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, God of War, God of War Ragnarök, Gran Turismo 7, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal.

PlayStation is also working closely with many developers to integrate this feature into PS5 game portals in the coming weeks and months. The accessibility tags are in addition to the accessibility settings already present on the PS5 console, reinforcing the brand's commitment to making video games ever more accessible and inclusive.
