Attention PS5 and PSVR 2 owners! On January 29, 2024, PlayStation announced in a blog post that it would be holding a State of Play conference, with a whole host of announcements. The conference took place on January 31 at 11pm, and over the course of 40 minutes it featured some 15 anticipated hits, such as Team Ninja's Rise of the Rōnin, and Stellar Blade, created by Korean studio Shift Up and previously confirmed.
During the conference, PlayStation unveiled numerous trailers, both gameplay presentations and outright announcements. Here's a list of the titles presented:
Note thatHideo Kojima, creator of the Kojima Productions studio and behind the Metal Gear and Death Stranding franchises, among others, has also announced the development of a brand-new spy game (which will not be Metal Gear), in collaboration with Sony. A game that will also be accompanied by a film based on it.
This State of Play was also an opportunity to highlight the PSVR 2, for which fans have been eagerly awaiting new features since its launch. And for fans of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, don't worry: PlayStation also announced a State of Play dedicated exclusively to the game on February 6, 2024.
