What could be more fitting than a bookstore-café in the 6th arrondissement, one of the city's most literary hubs? Near Saint-Sulpice, Delta is envisioned as a lively space for community and conversation: a carefully curated selection of books, a café counter, and a regular calendar of events that fosters dialogue between ideas, arts, and readers — from book launches and author meet-and-greets to reading evenings, intimate concerts, workshops, and conferences.
Far from being just a bookstore where patrons browse for their next read—though that remains the core idea—this spot also features a cozy café. Visitors can enjoy a hot drink or a glass of wine, indulge in evening snack boards, and savor homemade cookies available all day long (€4.50).
Sometimes, you stumble upon a book during a coffee break, but you might also find yourself at a writing workshop every other Monday, attending art history lectures on the third Tuesday of each month, or engaging in philosophy discussions on Wednesday evenings! Don’t worry about the furniture arrangement—it's flexible and can be moved around to host everyone during these events.
Led by Karine Tercier, an author, publisher, and workshop facilitator with over 15 years of experience, these sessions are lively, accessible, and inspiring. Participants will explore their voices, work on short texts, experiment with different constraints, and practice reading aloud and listening to themselves. The program includes warm-ups, writing prompts, dedicated writing time, guided feedback, and shared readings. Beverages are on the house.
Lectures with Delphine Peresan-Roudil. Could art and artists help us better understand our current era? Join a series of talks exploring key contemporary themes: creativity, gender, ecology, memory, and power. Includes art screenings and refreshments.
Reflecting on the present without blinkers: ethics, freedom, joy, care, attention, AI… Each session weaves together a key text, real-world examples, and an open discussion. Led by Laurence Devillairs throughout the season, exploring ten major works from Montaigne to Camus.
What if we finally learned to draw plants and animals as we see them—carefully, accurately, and with wonder? For a weekend, an evening, or a series of three workshops, Delta hosts Ingrid Winkler, a painter and illustrator whose work draws inspiration from the natural world. She shares a refined, naturalist approach to help you depict flora and fauna with both realism and sensitivity.
Over the course of five themed sessions featuring detailed case studies, Alma Smoluch examines the various ways women have shaped architectural history — as architects, patrons, educators, or builders. She highlights the institutional and social barriers that have historically hindered their recognition, while showcasing the diversity and richness of their contributions to designing and constructing our living spaces.
Join Sophie Gacheny as she explores the layers—both visible and hidden—of the city… all from the comfort of your armchair, yet with the thrill of a true adventure. From narrow alleys to bustling boulevards, from one era to the next, let yourself be led through a Paris that tells its story beyond the postcards. Spend an hour to truly understand the city you pass through every day and uncover the cultural landmarks that give Paris its unique soul.
