This year, the City of Chatou shakes up tradition by combining the Fête de l’Europe with the Brocante des Familles to create the « Brocante en Fête », in the Yvelines. On Saturday 25 May 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Rue Auguste Renoir and the Esplanade Christian Murez transform into a vast hub of sociability where the joy of bargain-hunting meets the buzz of street arts, in the heart of the Europe district.
In partnership with the Rotary Club of the Vésinet, this event offers a hybrid concept. On one side, the classic charm of the flea market where you hope to find the missing vinyl or vintage item for your collection. On the other, a street festival program that kicks off at 10 a.m. Between the stalls, a roaming brass band sets the tempo, while stilt walkers and jugglers bring a touch of circus poetry to the exchanges.
The youngest visitors aren’t overlooked, with a makeup booth, balloon artists and a “little marquee” offering rotating performances throughout the day. To recharge between two great finds, the esplanade hosts a friendly food-to-go area bringing together several food trucks and sweet stalls. This is where the neighborhood spirit truly comes alive, allowing Catoviens to extend their stroll with a quick lunch.
If you’re a bargain hunter who likes to work in peace, this might not be the best scene for you, as the brass band and the roaming crowds could turn the flea market into a much livelier, louder-than-usual spot.
