During the Paris Design Week, design has a knack for taking you to places you might not have imagined stepping into. The event puts contemporary creation in the spotlight across Paris and seizes the moment to explore lesser-known addresses, reveal private spaces, or pull back the curtain on the backrooms of certain venues. From September 10 to 19, 2026, exhibitions, installations and open doors become perfect pretexts to satisfy your curiosity. We discover the creations, of course, but also the walls that host them, and some are well worth lingering over.
So it’s time to go door‑crashing. Artist studios, private showrooms, exceptionally accessible spaces and more confidential addresses are opening their doors to the public—sometimes for only a few days. It’s the chance to see design where it’s made, to step into rooms usually reserved for a privileged few, or simply to discover places you wouldn’t normally visit. Here, the address matters almost as much as what it reveals: every appointment adds a little detour to the tour. Aimed at design lovers as well as curious visitors who enjoy pushing open doors that are usually kept shut.
