TheEuro women's soccer tournament kicked off in Switzerland on July 2, 2025, and Les Bleues played their group matches. Drawn in Group D withEngland, the Netherlands and Wales, the team led by Laurent Bonadei had to win as many games as possible to progress to the quarter-finals and attempt to go one better than in 2022, when they reached the semi-finals.
And the French found themselves in the group of death, even though they weren't considered the favorites, with England, the defending champions, and the Netherlands, champions before the English. Only Wales posed little threat, as this was their very first Euro. The big difference for Les Bleues was that several key players were absent, such as Wendie Renard and Eugénie Le Sommer, while France were still looking for a title after losing out at the last World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games.
But that didn't stop them from finishing top of their group, with three winsto their name! After a more difficult success against the English, the French team went on to score four goals against Wales and five against the Netherlands! They now face the Germans in the quarter-finals this Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 9pm, before meeting Spain or Switzerland if they come through.
But where can you watch the French women's matches? The TF1 group still holds the TV rights to the competition, but some matches will be broadcast on France Télévisions. This time, in contrast to the last match when France Télévisions preferred to broadcast the Club World Cup final, TF1 will be the channel to watch!
