The TraverSeine is the heir to the "Coupe Jean Olry" and the "Traversée de Paris", first organized in 1947.
On September 20 and 21, 2025, you can explore the Seine and its banks from top to bottom. The eleventh edition of the TraverSeine, organized by the Comité départemental de canoë-kayak, invites you to discover paddlesports through initiations, animations and fierce competitions on the water, alone or with others, between the Port de Bercy and the Parc nautique départemental de l'Île de Monsieur, in Sèvres.
On Sunday, courageous paddlers will take to the river on three courses, while on Saturday afternoon, from 2pm to 6pm, everyone will be able to try their hand at paddleboarding and canoeing free of charge, for a gentle introduction to the sport. The activities are open to all, as long as you know how to swim! An opportunity to see the Seine in a different light, in the heart of a veritable island of greenery.
The following day, you're invited to take part or cheer on the athletes, who will be competing either on a15-kilometre leisure course between Paris and the Hauts-de-Seine, accessible to those aged 12 and over, on a competition course on the same route, or on a longer 26-kilometre course reserved for the more experienced. There'll be some great battles to watch, thanks in particular to the large boats and pirogues expected!
