How about exploring the beautiful natural spaces of Seine-et-Marne on Sunday, September 27, 2026? The Rando du Val de Seine returns for a new edition, taking you through the department and the Melun Val de Seine urban area, past villages, through forests and parks, and along the banks of the Seine. Four free routes, clearly marked and secure, are waiting to take you on a journey of discovery through the area's natural and historic heritage.
The program features no particular difficulty or elevation gain, but offers loops ranging from 7 to 27 kilometers to suit walkers of all ages and abilities, especially families. It’s also a chance to visit an exhibitor village, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with around 20 stands: local producers and artisans; the Melun Val de Seine urban community (mobility, biodiversity and more); and musical and fun activities, including wooden games, a photo booth and a face-painting stand.
Remember to bring your water bottle! Dogs are welcome on the trails as long as they are kept on a leash.
A short, easy loop, suitable even for children, taking in the historic heart of Melun and the parks of the town of Le Mée-sur-Seine, dotted with magnificent exotic trees.
A route between Melun and Le Mée-sur-Seine that passes through four parks (Debreuil, Meckenheim, Fenez and Chapu) and part of the Bréviande Regional Natural Area, before following the banks of the Seine. Nature within easy reach on the outskirts of the city.
A walk between the Seine and the forests that passes through four towns (Melun, Le Mée-sur-Seine, Boissise-la-Bertrand and Boissettes), winding through the Bréviande Regional Forest and the Parc des Fouilles, an exceptional natural site, after a stretch through the picturesque streets of the old village of Boissise-la-Bertrand. The walk continues along forest paths and through characterful villages before reaching the banks of the Seine for the final stretch.
A green, riverside and heritage trail passing through five towns (Melun, Le Mée-sur-Seine, Boissise-la-Bertrand, Dammarie-lès-Lys and La Rochette) and showcasing a wide range of attractions: breathtaking views of the Seine, including the crossing of the Vives-Eaux dam; woodland walks through the Bréviande regional nature area and the sensitive natural area of La Rochette woods; and heritage and cultural stops, including churches, Notre-Dame du Lys Abbey and châteaux…
