Would you like to take some time for yourself, relax and enjoy the benefits of yoga without being lulled by talk of spirituality? Say goodbye to mantras and chakras, if that's what's on your mind, because this yoga studiofocuses 100% on yoga as a sporting practice, while at the same time offering a place to live that's both relaxing and inclusive.
It's Not Yoga, a concept imaginedby Margaux Koren, based near Bastille in Paris. Here, people come for hot yoga sessions in an atmosphere that encourages introspection. The rooms, heated to 33°C by infrared, are plunged into semi-darkness, with no mirrors and music in the background. Each session begins with a moment of relaxation, working on the breath, before moving on to the flows, with three series of dynamic postures whose intensity rises to a crescendo before concluding the session with relaxation.
This is how the Not Yoga studio intends to show us a more contemporary approach to this discipline. As an added bonus, the address is designed as a place to live, and includes a coffee-shop with a juice bar, as well as a beauty bar. The perfect place to pamper yourself in so many ways!
