Mamayoga, infrared yoga studios in Paris

"We imagined the studios as a cocoon, a place where you release tension and take time for yourself," explains founder Anna. From the first classes in 2019 in her apartment in La Garenne-Colombes, the creator of the Mamayoga concept has now opened three studios: the historic one, in her home town of La Garenne-Colombes, and two others in Paris, in the Batignolles and Sentier districts.

Combining vinyasa yoga for the more dynamic, yin yoga for those who like to add a meditative side to the discipline, hatha yoga to take the time to appreciate the postures... Flow classes are sometimes given under infrared, to encourage flexibility, relaxation and muscle work.

In beautiful, brightly lit rooms, yogis perform flows, sequences of postures requiring flexibility, coordination, balance and muscle strengthening. " Our strength is our relationship with the teachers," says Anna, who in recent years has put together a team capable of offering several forms of yoga, including sound bathing and meditation.

If you like the concept, Mamayoga also offers longer workshops, to work on specific postures, inversions, etc. For your first class, a trial offer is available for €12 (or a week of all-you-can-eat for €50 for seven days). Otherwise, expect to pay €30 for a single session, with preferential rates when purchasing a pack of several classes or a subscription.

Showers are available on site, with shampoo and shower gel as well as make-up remover and wipes included (except in the Batignolles studio, where there is no shower). Shall we try one of Mamayoga's yoga classes?
