Run for Climate is coming to the capital, ten years afterthe Paris Agreement. This 10-kilometer race, which will take place on December 14, 2025, aims to remind us that the fight against climate change is struggling to get off the ground, and what runners can do: take action for the climate. Each registration contributes €5 to the PARC Foundation to fund climate research.
The organizer has not yet announced the route, so it is difficult to know which Parisian monuments the race will pass by, but it will be timed and accessible to both athletes and Sunday joggers alike.
As a reminder, adopted at COP21 in 2015, the Paris Agreement marked a global commitment to limit global warming to below 2°C and to pursue efforts to contain it to 1.5°C. COP30, to be held in Brazil in 2025, will mark a turning point: each country will have to present new climate commitments aligned with the 1.5°C trajectory, in the heart of the Amazon.
In addition to the 10km race in Paris, a connected challenge will be offered from November 10 to 21, in parallel with COP30, available via the mobile app, allowing you to walk or run wherever you are in the world.
