Running for equality and to combat violence against women: that is the guiding principle behind La Mirabal, organized by Tremplin 94 – Solidarité Femmes. For its 14th edition, the event combines a sporting event with an information village, where participants can meet associations and institutions working to prevent violence and support victims.
Two race formats, a 5K and a timed 10K, are joined by the “Minerva” solidarity walk. The 10K course follows the 5K loop twice. The walk offers another way to take part in this initiative without running.
This edition shines a particular spotlight on children who are victims of domestic violence. The village hosts discussions with the organizations in attendance, while a scavenger hunt focused on equality is offered to children and teenagers. The “Neither Blue Nor Pink” area also has activities for them.
A collection of hygiene products for women and babies is being held alongside the event. Shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, sanitary products and diapers are among the items needed: donations must be new and unexpired. A way to extend the sporting gesture with practical support.
