Tuesday, May 12, 2026, fifteen countries went head-to-head in Vienna, Austria, for the first semifinal of the Eurovision. At the end of this first round, only 10 countries qualified.
This Thursday, May 14, fifteen new countries were in the running for the second semi-final. Among them? Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Romania, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Armenia, Switzerland, Cyprus, Latvia, Denmark, Australia, Ukraine, Albania, Malta and Norway.
Their goal was simple: do whatever it takes to land their own ticket to the grand final of the Song Contest, scheduled for May 16. But here's the catch: as in the first semi-final, only 10 countries earned a place in the long-awaited final. So which countries are they? Who were selected in this second semi-final? Unfortunately, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Armenia, Switzerland and Latvia have failed to persuade and come up short of the final, and will therefore not be able to compete on May 16.
