The Gaîté lyrique, this emblematic place of Parisian culture, reopens its doors for a beautiful weekend from May 12 to 14, 2023. We can enjoy a festive weekend that unveils the new project of the institution, the Fabrique de l'époque, with concerts, exhibitions and discussions for the most part free.
On the program of these three days, one can attend the first manifesto exhibition of the Fabrique, #WomenMatter, offered by the photojournalist collective Dysturb. In parallel, projections of the Fragments d'Arte project will offer intimate portraits of anonymous people.
On the music side, on Friday evening, Arte Concert presents the rap format Dans le club with Jean Morel. On Saturday, Nuits sonores with Maoupa Mazzocchetti, Zero Crossing Point and GLITTER55 for audiovisual performances on the borders of electronic music. Finally, on Sunday, the entity Sur Mesure will propose a creation mixing dance, architecture and music around the jazz-classical-mystical work of the American composer Moondog.
Round tables, debates and workshops will also be organized throughout the weekend to answer the central question of the project: "What is the era? A live recording with an audience of the Arte scientific program Scope will be made on Sunday, to offer the general public the keys to understanding the era.
For the next five years, the Gaîté Lyrique is reinventing itself thanks to a unique alliance betweenArty Farty, makesense, SINGA, ARTE France and Actes Sud. Together, they are imagining a place of life, creation and commitment, embodying the major issues of our time: a Fabrique de l'époque.
