If you've heard of the Sex Pistols, the Ramones, Bérurier Noir, Ludwig Von 88, Oberkampf and Lucrate Milk, then you've probably been - and may still be - a fan of punk music!

Punk was the music of the late '70s and '80s, in Britain of course, but also all over the world, including France, where bands such as Bérurier Noir have set the standard. For many, their last concert at theOlympia in 1989 will remain an unforgettable memory.

This Friday, January 12, 2024, France 5 honors the effervescence of punk music in France, with the unprecedented broadcast of the documentary"Punk is not really dead?!" (52 minutes). Winner of the SACEM 2023 Music Documentary of the Year Award,"Punk is not really dead?!" takes us back to those days, with the help of previously unseen archive footage, and introduces us to some of the key players of this turbulent era, including Masto, ex-Bérurier Noir, as well as Béatrice Dalle, muse of the punk years, Mat Firehair of the Washington Dead Cats, Pat Kebra of Oberkampf and Roger des Prés of Les Endimanchés.

Directed by Lionel Boisseau,"Punk is not really dead?!" films these artists and enthusiasts as they are today. Discover it this January 12, 2024 at 10:35 pm on France 5!
