France Music Week: not-to-be-missed highlights in Paris

French music is in the spotlight for a week as part of the very first edition of France Music Week, to be experienced from Monday June 16 to Saturday June 21, 2025. For the occasion, get ready to discover a series of exclusive concerts organized in emblematic venues. Here's what's in store for you, along with highlights and not-to-be-missed events in Paris!

This year's Fête de la musique is preceded by the very first France Music Week. Launched at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, this new popular event aims to " put France on the world music map by bringing together those who make up the music industry in Europe and around the world ", as well as to " promote the richness of French musical creation ", reads a press release.

So, for one week, from Monday June 16 to Saturday June 21, 2025, French music is set to shine across the country. While several major events are reserved for professionals, free concerts for the general public will take place at a number of emblematic venues across France. The aim? To showcase artists of all stripes!

So, what can we expect in Paris for this very first edition of France Music Week? A big free closing concert on the evening of the Fête de la Musique, showcases of " Made in France " talent at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, a classical music scene in the spotlight at theHôtel de la Marine and jazz concerts on the Rue des Lombards... discover the highlights of France Music Week in Paris.

Wednesday June 18, 2025, 9:00-10:30 pm - Scène Classique par l'Adami, Hôtel de la Marine (sold out)

The Cour de l'Intendant at the Hôtel de la Marine is the setting for a classical concert on the theme of water. For 1h15, discover a string quartet and three opera singers. Together, they will perform a program centered on works from the classical repertoire.

Conceived in partnership with Paris Jazz Club at Duc des Lombards, Baiser Salé and Sunset-Sunside, the event will bring together intimate sets and group performances with the presence of artists whose influence transcends borders.

Thursday June 19, 2025, 7:00-9:00 pm - Scène Musiques Actuelles by Prix Joséphine, Mandarin Oriental Lutetia (sold out)

The Mandarin Oriental Lutetia offers a unique musical evening in the iconic Bar Joséphine. On the menu? Three internationally-renowned artists will offer intimate musical sets followed by discussions, accessible by registration.

To round off this first France Music Week, Paris hosts a major free concert on the evening of the Fête de la Musique.
