This is an announcement Dresden Dolls fans have been waiting for years. The Dresden Dolls Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione, the duo behind the pioneering cabaret-punk act, are gearing up to hit the stage again to celebrate the 20th (already) anniversary of their iconic second studio album "Yes, Virginia...".
What’s on the tour lineup? North American shows set for cities like Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, and on to San Francisco and Portland. Earlier, The Dresden Dolls will hit the European road, with a handful of dates announced in Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Berlin, Manchester and London. France is also on the itinerary. See you on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris to witness these beautiful reunions in the flesh.
"In some of these cities we haven't toured in more than 20 years. We're itching to set up our drums and pianos on stages in the world's most incredible venues, to sing, to scream, and to shower the sky with our hairdryers. Get ready for the end of the world... or its beginning! Long live Punk Cabaret!", wrote the Boston-born American band on Instagram.
So, when does the ticketing open? The artist presale for this tour, titled “Yes, Virginia...(Tailor's Version),” kicks off on Wednesday, May 13 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, which is 4 p.m. in France. Note that this presale is reserved “for people who received their password when they signed up by email and SMS.” Otherwise, general on-sale is set for Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. local time.
We recall that The Dresden Dolls formed in 2001 around pianist/singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Brian Viglione. With three studio albums to their name, the cabaret-punk duo is this year celebrating 20 years of Yes, Virginia…. To mark the milestone, The Dresden Dolls hit the road again, and on August 7, 2026 will also release the album Yes, Virginia…(Tailor’s Version), a newly re-recorded take on the iconic 2006 LP. The outfit has already unveiled a brand-new version of its famous track “Backstabber (Tailor’s Version).”
To catch live performances of the new versions of "Sex Changes", "My Alcoholic Friends" or "Delilah", head to Paris's own Élysée Montmartre on September 8, 2026. One can imagine Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione delivering a quirky, offbeat musical show—exactly their signature move!
