As Björk confirms a forthcoming studio album, the Icelandic icon is front and center in an immersive exhibition running in Reykjavik through September 20, 2026. Good news for fans who can’t make it to the Icelandic capital: the audiovisual installation Echolalia will then head on tour, with a stop planned in Paris.

When will Björk unveil her new album? Will a tour be part of the plan? For now, the suspense remains total. But the gifted Icelandic artist is clearly preparing her return. She has confirmed that a new record is on the way, following Fossora, which came out in 2022. In the meantime, Björk and her mesmerizing universe are taking center stage in an exhibition titled "Echolalia." Presented at the National Gallery of Iceland in Reykjavik, from May 31 to September 20, 2026, "Echolalia" is an immersive, theater-scale audiovisual installation exploring the raw relationship between voice, body, and nature.

This exhibition features, notably, the elegiac works “Ancestress” and “Sorrowful Soil,” composed and arranged by Björk, and dedicated to her mother, Hildur Rúna Hauksdóttir. Visitors can also hear a demo of the unreleased track “Nerve Bloom,” offering a preview of her upcoming album.

Visually striking yet sonically immersive, this exhibition also engages the ears. Visitors can borrow headphones to fully experience each installation. The Danish brand providing these headsets reveals that "Echolalia" is a roving exhibition that will soon hit the road. And good news for Björk fans: Paris is on the itinerary! Stops in London, New York, and Sydney are also planned. Stay tuned to find out when this immersive Björk experience will land in the French capital!
