From December 1 to 14, 2025, CENTQUATRE-PARIS and L'Oréal are putting the body center stage with Beaux Gestes, a performing arts festival where every movement becomes a story and every gesture becomes poetry. Theater, dance, circus, literature, virtual reality, and visual arts come together to explore the body as a sensitive language, a mirror of identity, and a manifesto of freedom.
Here, beauty is not limited to a simple reflection; it is lived, felt, and shared. Vimala Pons, Arno Schuitemaker, Aurélien Bory, and Chantal Akerman question the body in all its nuances—physical, social, political—and celebrate the otherness and uniqueness of each individual. A festival that gives voice to the invisible and highlights a diversity that can make us more beautiful and more free.
And because art is contagious, Beaux Gestes also offers free participatory workshops so that everyone can become an actor in their own artistic experience. Exhibitions, meetings, and literary debates complete this grand stage where the body becomes language, expression, and manifesto. (see the program)
Supported by CENTQUATRE-PARIS, a residence and creative space in the 19th arrondissement, and sponsored by L'Oréal, the festival is an open invitation to everyone to vibrate, feel, and celebrate tolerance, inclusion, and freedom to be.
