Madame Ose Bashung: electro-rock cabaret at the Théâtre du Rond-Point

Alongside his stage double, the performer Corrine, he is joined by Brenda Mour and Patachtouille, as well as six musicians—including a pianist, a guitarist, and a string quartet from the Rainbow Symphony Orchestra—to revisit both his best-known songs and lesser-known pieces. The presence of projections created by the La Garçonnière collective, arrangements by Damien Chauvin, and striking costumes, hairstyles, and lighting give the cabaret a hybrid aesthetic, combining festive energy with introspective atmospheres.

The show draws on a wide repertoire covering several periods of Bashung's career, from Gaby et Bijou, bijou to songs such as Osez Joséphine, Fantaisie militaire, and Bleu Pétrole. This musical reinterpretation offers a new approach to his songs through electro-rock arrangements, enriched by an orchestration combining strings and electric guitar. The artists' vocal and stage performances explore the dramaturgy of each piece, highlighting their contrasts, breaks, and poetic images. Presented in the Renaud-Barrault theater for a limited series of performances, the play will be followed on December 30 by a free DJ set hosted by Corrine and her guests, extending the party beyond the stage.
