The musical Romeo & Juliet is making its comeback at the Palais des Congrès in Paris starting from December 3, 2027. Produced by Live Nation, this new run of shows marks the return of the beloved production—created by Gérard Presgurvic and inspired by the timeless tragedy of William Shakespeare.

Founded in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès, the musical show has quickly become a cultural phenomena. With over 11 million tickets sold worldwide, translated into 18 languages, and performed in 20 countries, it has cemented its status as a global hit. From its debut, the production has attracted nearly 2.5 million spectators in Paris alone and has become a staple in the French live entertainment scene.

This 2027 production reunites once again Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara, the original performers of Romeo and Juliet. The artistic team notes that the production preserves the show's core essence while introducing a redesigned stage set, new costumes, and a refreshed cast. The grand-scale aesthetic and the seamless mix of live music, choreography, and spectacular scenery remain central to the stage experience.

Composed by Gérard Presgurvic, the soundtrack has left a lasting imprint on French pop culture, featuring iconic songs like Les Rois du monde and Aimer. The latter has become one of the show's anthems, closely linked to the character of Romeo and the universal theme of love woven into the story.

For nearly 25 years, Romeo & Juliet has resonated across generations. The production updates its staging techniques and responds to audience expectations while staying true to the classic story: the tale of two young lovers from feuding families set in the Verona crafted by Shakespeare. This latest revival continues its international journey and will be featured in the 2027 season at the Palais des Congrès, where it was originally created.

Tickets go on sale starting February 14, 2026, at 10 a.m., with prices beginning at €38, through official ticket outlets. The show will be hosted at the Paris Convention Center from December 3, 2027.
