A great playground, a photo exhibition on 135 years of sporting exploits at the Eiffel Tower

Crossing on a wire, climbing the steps on a mountain bike or on a trapeze, the Eiffel Tower has seen some exceptional sporting feats that have marked its history. A photo exhibition on the 1st floor, from February 13, 2024.

The year 2024 is resolutely focused on sport, and for the occasion, the Eiffel Tower, an emblematic monument of Paris and France, is celebrating the greatest sporting exploits that have taken place within its walls! From February 13 to April, discover thephoto exhibition"Un grand terrain de jeux", on the second floor, to rediscover 135 years of incredible events, which have marked the memories and history of the Iron Lady.

Since its construction, itself an exploit, the Eiffel Tower has inspired artists and sportsmen the world over, who have attempted records of varying degrees of impressiveness, some of which ended badly. On some twenty panels, from the oldest to the most recent, visitors who have paid their way up the floors, by staircase or elevator, can discover the incredible challenges that have marked its existence, from the most unusual to the most vertiginous, immortalized in images.

From the circus elephant Bouglione who climbed the steps leading to the second floor in 1948, via trapeze artist Rose Gold, to highliner Nathan Paulin 's recent crossing in 2021 between the Eiffel Tower and Chaillot, there's plenty to make your head spin! During the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Eiffel Tower will overlook the volleyball and cecifoot events, yet another page in its history!
