This autumn, there's no shortage of exhibitions dedicated tourban art. These include the exhibition dedicated to Miss.Tic, just over three years after her death, the exceptional opening of the Mausolée and JonOne 's installation on the Fluctuart barge.
Another urban art event is likely to be the talk of the town. Entitled"Échappées, récit d'une odyssée urbaine", this free collective exhibition was conceived for the Fondation Desperados by graffiti artist Alëxone Dizac.
Through the works of 12 artists, the exhibition aims to explore "the very essence of urban art" and invites visitorsto"become travelers, explorers, dreamers." Each work becomes a stage, and together they form a collective narrative. A story has also been created for the occasion. Written by Julia Montauk, this text can be found in a small booklet available at the entrance to La Poste Rodier. To make the visit more fun, visitors are invited to fill in the booklet by stamping it with stamps specially designed for the occasion by each artist.
From November 7 to 30, 2025, urban art enthusiasts and lovers of the arts will have the opportunity to discover the work of 12 talented French and international artists. Coming from a variety of backgrounds, the invited artists will unveil installations, sculptures, murals, drawings, and photographs that tell a contemporary odyssey. Iconic figures in urban art will be there, such as France's Miss Van and Steph Cop, as well as international artists such asAndrew Schoultz (United States) and Hitnes (Italy).
So, when and where is the exhibition "Échappées, récit d’une odyssée urbaine" (Escapes, tale ofan urban odyssey) taking place? You'll need to head to a temporary and unusual 1,200 m² venue to admire the works of these different artists. More specifically, head to the 9th arrondissement of Paris toLa Poste Rodier, a former mail distribution center that is usually closed to the public.
We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the works on display at La Poste Rodier. And what a (very pleasant) surprise it was to admire the various creations exhibited for the occasion. Some of them particularly caught our eye. This was the case with Duy Anh Nhan Duc's installation. Entitled "Le parloir des souhaits" (The Wishing Room), this work explores nature and also evokes childhood. Part cabin, part greenhouse, this installation is a poetic refuge where breath replaces words. By turning a crank, a breath of air lifts tufts of dandelions, salsify, and thistles, inviting us to slow down, breathe, and reestablish the lost dialogue between humans and living things.
We also really liked the installation located a few meters away. In this large space at La Poste Rodier, the artistMadame presents "Promenons-nous dans les bois" (Let's walk in the woods), a work conceived as an initiatory tale. You reach it by walking on dead leaves before arriving at the famous wooden cabin. Inside, we discover a shelter that is both mystical and playful, featuring a chair and a mirror ball. Hidden in the walls are 63 boxes containing riddles, challenges, and fragments of answers. A sentence is also written on the floor, hidden under the dead leaves. It will appear as visitors walk by.
Other works and favorites include oil paintings by Miss Van, known for her unique pictorial universe imbued with sensuality and mystery, and sculptures by 100TAUR, including "Démon cocotte," recognizable by its paper pot head adorned with logos.
We'll let you discover the rest for yourself. The exhibition "Échappées, récit d'une odyssée urbaine" (Escapes, tale of an urban odyssey) is sure to delight lovers of urban art in all its diversity, as well as dreamers. The exhibition can be visited quickly, but we strongly advise you to take your time and immerse yourself in each work and each installation, in order to enjoy a successful artistic experience, full of mysteries and beautiful surprises. Children are also welcome.
