When design slips under the comforter, the result is... a giant bed in the heart of the Plaza Athénée! The Uchronia collective, led by Julien Sebban and renowned for their chimerical installations, metamorphose the Cour Jardin of the palace with a monumental work where poetry and elegance converse in large format.
Until November 11, 2025, this oversized Day Bed is an essential stopover in the 8th arrondissement. Inspired by the hotel's architecture and iconic garden, it replicates the Plaza's color codes - deep reds and intense greens - in a contemporary, dreamlike version. A timeless interlude, both contemplative and resolutely designer.
Every detail reveals exceptional craftsmanship: the Palet ceramic tiles capture the light, the Treca headboard is made-to-measure, the French Jacquard fabrics dress the bed, the Misia flowery cushions and curtains add a poetic touch, while the Chromatic paintings by Seigneurie add depth and sparkle. An assembly conceived as a unique piece, halfway between art and comfort.
And the best part? Access is open to all, free of charge and with no compulsory consumption. Even on rainy days, the experience remains intact, as the materials chosen are water-resistant.
With this project, Uchronia proves that at the Plaza Athénée, we dream big, very big, and above all... in the open air.
