To celebrate 100 years of Art Deco, contemporary architect-decorators unveil creations inspired by this artistic movement. Discover this immersive design exhibition at Mobilier national from October 14 to November 2, 2025.

Paris is celebrating an unusual anniversary this year. It was 1925: the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs presented a new style, in which practicality meets aesthetics. This movement quickly took hold and continues to seduce the public and designers alike. One hundred years later, in 2025, a number of exhibitions commemorate this special date, through a variety of artistic and design events.

The Mobilier national - Manufacture des Gobelins in Paris is also taking part in this artistic anniversary: from October 14 to November 2, 2025, the gallery unveils the Salon des Nouveaux Ensembliers, an exhibition combining contemporary art and Art Deco.

In partnership with Sèvres and Mobilier national, the Manufactures have brought together ten architect-decorators for a unique design exhibition. These contemporary designers have drawn inspiration from the works and forms of 1925 to propose a modern, reinvented version of Art Deco.

Ensembliers are professionals in design and architecture: they imagine harmonious, coherent interior spaces that are as useful and practical as they are beautiful. Art and luxury are at the service of functional, everyday furniture.

The Nouveaux Ensembliers are following in the footsteps of their 1925 predecessors by presenting their creations. The Mobilier National exhibition unveils several staged, contemporary reinterpretations of emblematic places: this year's theme is "The Embassy of Tomorrow". We walk through a bedroom, an office, a reinvented reception room.

The exhibition is divided into a dozen small spaces. Each room has its own style and atmosphere. You can wander through these rooms, where everything is a work of art: from the chairs to the lighting fixtures, the cutlery, the fabric of the sofa and the wall decorations, everything has been carefully thought out and intentionally placed.

These architect-decorators also want to highlight French know-how and the innovation of designers, through creations that keep French culture alive. These contemporary designers also work around renewable materials and sustainable construction, in tune with today's issues.

The Salon des Nouveaux Ensembliers exhibition is complemented by a carte blanche given to contemporary designers: we discover three"salons de l'imaginaire", which highlight the tradition of the decorative arts. Innovative techniques, landscape staging, trompe-l'œil: these designers reinvent space with works of art and designer furniture.

Lovers of design and architecture, don't miss this exhibition that brings Art Deco back to life in Paris.
