In the Paris region, Flins (Yvelines-78) will open a one-of-a-kind museum dedicated to Renault's legacy starting in 2027. Visitors will explore 125 years of automotive and cultural history through vintage vehicles, archives, and art displays.

The town of Flins, located in the Yvelines (78), is set to welcome a new museum dedicated to the legacy of Renault starting in 2027. This impressive 2,700 m² space will showcase historic vehicles, artworks, and archival materials, offering visitors an immersive journey through 125 years of automotive, industrial, and cultural history.

Since opening in 1952, the Flins site has produced over 18 million vehicles and has been the birthplace of iconic models such as the Dauphine, the Renault 4, the Renault 5, as well as four generations of Clio and the ZOE. Hundreds of carefully preserved and restored vehicles will be on display here, with more than half still running, thanks to a team of specialized technicians and a dedicated workshop for mechanical and bodywork restoration. From the vintage Type A of 1898 to Formula 1 racers, legendary Alpines, and visionary concept cars, the exhibition tells the technical and social story of Renault and its influence on urban planning, lifestyles, and culture.

Beyond the cars, the museum will showcase hundreds of works from the Renault Art and Culture Collection. Visitors can expect photographs by Robert Doisneau, pieces by Arman inspired by the Renault 4, series by Erró, works by Victor Vasarely, as well as creations by Jean Dubuffet that highlight the connection between art and industry. The collection also supports contemporary urban creation, featuring pieces based on historical models, such as those by Dan Rawlings and César Malfi. Regular exhibitions and immersive experiences, including virtual reality, will invite visitors to dive into the rich history of Renault’s epic journey.

The site will also host the Art Factory, an artists' residency located in the historic paint workshop spanning 3,000 square meters. Here, car bodies and industrial elements serve as dynamic canvases for creation. Artists work in this one-of-a-kind setting, and some of their works will become part of the permanent collection.

Amid classic cars, archives, and works of art, the Renault Museum in Flins will offer visitors an immersive journey through the brand’s rich history and pioneering innovations in the automotive world.
