Great Cinémathèque deal: free admission to the Monroe retrospective, for all Marilyns

From April 8 to July 26, 2026, the Cinémathèque is hosting a Marilyn Monroe retrospective, and for all women who share the actress’s first name, admission is free!

With her platinum blonde hair, striking blue eyes, and naïve demeanor, Marilyn Monroe is an Hollywood icon, a worldwide star known to all. Born in 1926, Norma Jeane Baker—her real name—made her mark in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), by Howard Hawks, and in Some Like It Hot by Billy Wilder (1959). She would have celebrated her 100th birthday this year, so the Cinémathèque is staging a grand retrospective dedicated to the actress.

With Marilyn Monroe, exposer l'actrice, the Cinémathèque opens from 8 April to 26 July 2026 an exhibition about the star, the icon, the woman who defined an entire generation. Expect €14 at full price, €11 reduced and €7 for under 18, except for those who share the actress's first name, since entry is free for all Marilyns! The offer runs for the entire duration of the exhibition. Tickets can be collected on site at the Cinémathèque, upon presentation of an identity document.
