Le Livrodrome: a free literary theme park at the Grand Palais and Asnières in June

Every summer, literature takes over the Ile-de-France region with Partir en Livre and its traveling literary theme park ! This free book festival promotes the values of mutual aid and sharing, and arrives in Asnières-sur-Seine on June 20, as well as in Paris on June 28, 2025! Specially designed for teenagers aged 11 to 18, this event offers 20 fun and interactive attractions, as well as the chance to take home books thanks to free book vouchers.

Created in 2018 as part of Partir en livre, the major festival of books for young people organized since 2014 by the Centre National du Livre (CNL), the Livrodrome has been rolling out nationwide since 2022, building its own "Tour de France" each summer in 10 stopover towns. Its aim is to make books an object of leisure, (re)giving a generation that is moving away from them a taste for books and reading.

Join us on June 20 at the Square du souvenir français and on June 28 at the Grand Palais for a day with authors, illustrators, scriptwriters, book professionals and artisans, who will be running writing and illustration workshops, as well as workshops to discover the book trade. On the program: literary games, bookclubs, comic book battles, immersive installations and live readings (some with registration), to share with other book enthusiasts.

Some attractions on the program

• The tattoo box

First, a question-and-answer game, in the form of a quiz, to discover which animal from La Fontaine's fables you are, and which moral most closely corresponds to you... Depending on the answers, the corresponding ephemeral tattoo will be created and the fable offered in the form of a postcard to send to the person of your choice, or to keep preciously with you.

• The audiobook

Imagined by Jérôme Hoffmann, this installation invites the public to sit in a giant book and enjoy an immersive reading experience, with headphones, around the collection of short stories published by the CNL for the 11th edition of Partir en livre, written by 10 of the greatest teenage authors of our time on the theme of "Animals and Us".

• The literary prescription booth

Take advantage of a literary consultation with a librarian to get a prescription for the book or album that's right for you - that's what the Cabine d'ordonnances littéraires offers. Each patient leaves with a personalized prescription and a list of titles that can be purchased in bookshops or libraries.

• The bubble factory

4 illustrators and scriptwriters - Salim Zerrouki, Line Hachem, Sandrine Mirza and Jean-David Morvan - will be offering comic book workshops to discover the techniques and creative processes specific to the 9th art.
