Nuits des Forêts 2025 program in Seine-et-Marne:

  • La Cocharde, Gouaix - June 14

As night falls, a guide from the reserve will present the Bassée alluvial forest and the species of flora and fauna it shelters. The visit will be punctuated by short interludes of readings from books on loan from the Donnemarie-Dontilly and Gouaix libraries, read by library volunteers. These readings from books on the theme of the forest will resonate with the previous naturalist explanations, adding a different vision. You'll leave the event with a wealth of knowledge about the forest ecosystem, as well as some great literary recommendations!

  • Forêt de Notre-Dame, Lesigny - June 13

In Lésigny, artists, dancers, musicians, capoeirists, children and adults will come together for a day of colorful, vibrant performances. Between festive celebration and ancestral tradition, this day in the Notre-Dame forest will be an opportunity to explore the deep links that unite nature, art and living beings in all their diversity.

In keeping with the Grandeur Nature event presented in the grounds of the Château de Fontainebleau, the Nuits des forêts program supported by COAL invites artists and experts to share their views and knowledge of the forest and the vegetation it shelters. Through a multiplicity of formats, the public is invited to a sensitive and poetic immersion, making the spirit of the forest tangible. Throughout the day, through exhibitions, walks and artistic and naturalist workshops, discover this forest. In the company of foresters from the Office national des forêts, young artists from the Beaux-Arts de Paris or botanical experts from the Muséum national d'Histoire Naturelle, enjoy original experiences combining exploration, knowledge and creation. At nightfall, in celebration of summer, music and forests, an exceptional concert by Emily Loizeau will resonate in the grand parterre of the Château de Fontainebleau, offering a suspended moment between art and celebration of those guardians of life that are trees.

Bois du Val Hochard - June 20

Following a week-long artistic residency, you are invited to a day rich in activities on different approaches to sound in the forest. You'll be able to admire the artistic productions and take part in discussions between scientists and artists on the role of sound in understanding and preserving ecosystems. Numerous workshops will also be held at the Bois. Children from neighbouring schools can take part in a treasure hunt, while adults can take part in a sound trail using new recording and broadcasting devices. A sensory bath will then be offered by music therapists, before sharing an aperitif with a naturopath. The day will end under the stars, with a DJ set by Malo and Mathis, mixing natural sounds and compositions. Finally, a selection of documentary and artistic videos will be screened to explore the magic of our environment.

  • Franchard ecotourism center - June 8 to 19

The Unesco Fontainebleau and Gâtinais Biosphere Reserve is offering a series of events; a return to the roots of the Forêt de Fontainebleau and Franchard through history, nature, forest management, art and culture. On the program for this Nuit des Forêts at Franchard: the permanent exhibition "Notre Forêt d'Exception" at the Maison de la Biosphère et de la Forêt, meetings with a professional photographer and a forester, an animist walk at dusk, or a wander around Franchard to go back to the roots of modern nature protection through landscapes and art. Two Wooding actions will also take place on this site! Forest clean-up operations will include a plogging initiation (running and garbage collection) and two free collection sessions with snacks. A friendly way to enjoy one of the most beautiful entry points to the Forêt de Fontainebleau, while limiting the impact of human activity.

Climate and nature are in the spotlight at the Musée des Peintres de Barbizon! Echoing the Musée d'Orsay's "100 œuvres qui racontent le climat" (100 works that tell the climate story), you can enjoy a botanical watercolour workshop - plants and flowers of the undergrowth, a discussion between a curator and a farmer on Charles-François Daubigny's Moisson on loan from the Musée d'Orsay, a conference on "Landscape evolution and the impact of climate change", a "Fol inventaire" plant imprint workshop, and even a 37 km forest hike in the footsteps of Théodore Rousseau, painter and leader of the Barbizon School...
