The Moulin Jaune in Crécy-la-Chapelle is one of the most remarkable gardens in the Île-de-France region, and is nothing less than the work of the famous clown Slava. Embark for a day in a marvellous, timeless universe, where everything leads to a journey: the decorated gardens, the artistic installations, the unusual animations... So that you too can blend in with the scenery, a dress code is required and changes according to the theme weekends. A veritable treasure trove of the Ile-de-France region, the Moulin Jaune is an invitation to daydream, linger and share during the few weekends when it opens its doors to the public foran enchanted escapade.
Located on the banks of the Grand Morin, just thirty minutes east of Paris, this mill is a vibrant hub where a diverse community of artists, artisans, gardeners, and cooks create right on site.
The ongoing process of exploration and experimentation here blends nature, creativity, and everyday life, continuously giving rise to a world that is both tangible and fantastical—an intriguing mix of outsider art, science fiction, and Fellinian circus. Whether you're an artist or a visitor, engaging with this space teaches you to become the creator of your own life, transforming the ordinary into something new and magical—rekindling childhood dreams and a longing for escape.
WHERE NATURE, ART, AND DAILY LIFE MEET
At the Yellow Mill, a dynamic creation laboratory constantly in motion, you'll find around 630 artworks spanning various forms, styles, eras, and origins. Scattered throughout the garden—and always in harmony with the natural surroundings—you'll experience both contemporary and traditional art in unexpected settings.
From April to October, immersive visits held once or twice a month invite the public to participate actively, whether through themed events or poetic wanderings in an enchanted natural landscape. Dress according to the theme, bring your picnic or enjoy refreshments at our bars, and feel free to bring along your games, knitting, or accordions... all for a relaxing escape by the water.
The event themes and dress codes will be announced at least one to two months in advance.
