Free bathing in Paris's Canal Saint-Martin? Every Sunday from July 9 to August 20, 2023.

The number of free swimming pools in Paris this summer is increasing, much to our delight. Last year, the Canal Saint-Martin, opened for Ménage ton canal, was the perfect place to take a dip in the heart of Paris. This year, we're back, with the right to swim every Sunday from 12pm to 4pm, from July 9 to August 20, 2023.

Meet us in the 10th arrondissement, oppositeEspace Jemmapes and Jardin Villemin, to cool off in complete safety! Compulsory changing rooms and showers are available in the Jemmapes sports center.

The locks will remain closed throughout the afternoon to ensure the safety of bathers, thanks to a prefectoral decree prohibiting navigation. Checks on canal water quality will also be carried out by the Mairie de Paris and the Agence Régionale de Santé d'Ile-de-France.

The open-air pool is open to all, free of charge. A sun lounger and deckchairs are also available for your enjoyment.

So, how about a free swim in the middle of Paris?
