Earth Day: walks, workshops, treasure hunt and climate ball at Parc Chapelle Charbon

The Paris 18th arrondissement town hall is once again taking part in Earth Day, this Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2pm to 8pm. To pay tribute to the planet and raise awareness of environmental preservation, a number of fun activities will be on offer all afternoon in the Chapelle Charbon park, in an ephemeral nature village.

Strolls, workshops, bartering, everyone will be able to try out new activities, children and adults alike, around themes such as the circular economy, sustainable food and nature in the city. And don't forget the Climate Ball, where you can dance the night away! So, are you more interested in the street cooking workshop, thesparrow nesting boxor the anti-food waste workshop? There's plenty of opportunity to learn more about a range of subjects and try out more environmentally-friendly practices!

The day's program

• 11 a.m.: Screening of the documentary "Un sentiment de liberté" (A Sense of Freedom) about the bike school at the Centre Rosa Parks - Centre Paris Anim' Hebert
• 1 p.m.: Urban stroll: discover thermal renovation projects and achievements in local condominiums - Marx Dormoy metro station
• 2pm: Installation and inauguration of the composter in the Charbon vert shared garden, with the Artisans Composteurs
• 3pm: Gesticulated conference on access to democratic sustainable food: "From fork to fork. No..the opposite!" by Mathieu Dalmais
• 4pm - 6pm: Making Monsieur Patate, recycling and gardening workshop with Le Poulpe
• 6:20pm - 8pm: Bal Trad du Climat, with American Contra Dance
