The must-attend event for Harry Potter fans is making a comeback in 2026 in the Paris region! Following last year's “The Great Exam” held at the heart of the Sainte-Geneviève Library, this year’s “Return to Hogwarts” event will take over one of France’s most iconic and visited monuments — the Palace of Versailles.
Yes, the residence of the Sun King is about to take a magical detour into the wizarding world. Announced during a press conference by Warner Bros Discovery on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, this edition promises to be spectacular — and for good reason: this year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the very first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone!
So, what can we expect? What we know for now is that the event will take place in two stages within the gardens. The registration is free, just like the previous edition, and we're set to meet on August 29, 2026.
The first part of the day takes place in the heart of the Orangery Gardens. As evening falls, the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes unfold with a special Harry Potter edition, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display to close the night. As a reminder, this summer event at the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles invites visitors to stroll through the fountain basins, which are brought to life with water, while music fills the surrounding groves!
