Back to Hogwarts: Tickets Now Available for the Harry Potter Event at Château de Versailles

Celebrate the "Return to Hogwarts," the highly anticipated annual gathering of Harry Potter fans! For this edition, set for August 29, 2026, an iconic castle becomes the backdrop for the magic: in the Gardens of Versailles, Potterheads are invited to a free event requiring registration. Please note that access to the spectacular nocturnal fountains will still require a ticket!

The must-attend event for Harry Potter fans is making a comeback in 2026 in the Paris region! Following last year's “The Great Exam” held at the heart of the Sainte-Geneviève Library, this year’s “Return to Hogwarts” event will take over one of France’s most iconic and visited monuments — the Palace of Versailles.

Yes, the residence of the Sun King is about to take a magical detour into the wizarding world. Announced during a press conference by Warner Bros Discovery on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, this edition promises to be spectacular — and for good reason: this year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the very first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone!

So, what can we expect? For now, all we know is that the event is set to take place in two stages within the gardens. The first part will be free but require registration, similar to last year's edition, and is scheduled for August 29, 2026. This initial segment of the day will unfold in the heart of the Orangery Gardens and will remain free, but attendance must be reserved in advance.

As evening falls, the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes reveal a special Harry Potter edition featuring a fireworks show to close out the night. Just a reminder, this summer event at the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles invites visitors to wander among the fountains as they’re illuminated, while music plays throughout the various groves!
