From October 3 to 5, 2025, the whole family is invited to libraries and media libraries in Paris and the Ile-de-France region to enjoy a wide range of free book-related activities and workshops!
For its second edition, Biblis en folie returns to Parisian and French media libraries for three days, from October 3 to 5, 2025, with a host of free activities for the whole family! The aim of these national days is to provide access to books, learning and reading for all, and especially for the very young, which is why so many activities are dedicated to them over the three days.
The first children's library (L'Heure joyeuse, in Paris) was created just over a century ago. Since then, libraries have continued to renew their forms of mediation around books, to ensure that they remain attractive in the face of competition from screens. This year, the "Ma première carte de bibliothèque" (My first library card) operation is encouraging parents to register their newborn child with their local library, where a personalized welcome service is offered, to develop an awareness of reading from an early age.

- Médiathèque Municipale de Marrolles-en-Hurepoix (Essonne): a concert-reading of Né quelque part, the story of a family in exile from Syria to France, punctuated by original songs.
- Bibliothèque André Malraux des Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis): Bébé bouquine, nursery rhymes, readings and finger games for toddlers, as part of the "mois de la petite enfance" (month of early childhood).
- Médiathèque de l'hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière (Paris 13e): a concert of gypsy jazz by the Leviathan Gipsy Band, a warm and musical moment.
- Médiathèque de Marcouville (Val-d'Oise): the restitution of a slam workshop, an oral performance to discover the creations of children and teenagers who took part in the workshop alongside a poetry specialist.
- Bibliothèque Jean-Pierre Melville (Paris 13th): a meeting with two researchers from the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle to find out all about meteorites.
- BnF - François Mitterrand: access to reading rooms, guided tour, "Les Globes de Louis XIV" workshop, personalization of a model, discovery of a printing workshop.
