Discover the medieval city of Provins by candlelight on two exceptional evenings, July 5 and August 2, 2025, with a host of free and unusual events.

On July 5 and August 2, 2025, you'll be able to stroll by candlelight through the heart of the medieval town of Provins, enjoying musical entertainment, equestrian shows, moonlit rides and the unique beauty of the Roseraie de Provins. With its 58 historic monuments, witnesses to a unique past, the town of Provins offers you a real journey back in time.

For two unique evenings, this medieval city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, transforms itself into a city of light, offering a magical and enchanting spectacle. This new edition of Lueurs du Temps features a wide range of events, including fire juggling, an illuminated tower, an underground walk and theatrical tours!

The 12th-century César Tower will be illuminated by more than 700 candles, creating an intimate atmosphere with the sound of a harp resonating within its walls. Near the ramparts, the "Crins de feu"equestrian show will dazzle young and old with its stunts and acrobatics. For romance, head for the Roseraie, or the candlelit dinners offered by restaurants open at night.

  • Jazz musical ambience

In the streets and on the Place du Châtel with the groups "Sans'So Quartet" on July 5, and "Cocktail Sound" on August 2. From 7pm - Free

  • Shows and juggling on the theme of fire by "Les R'Mon Temps".

Sessions at 9pm, 9:45pm, 10:30pm and 11:15pm, in Place Saint-Quiriace. Duration 20 min - Free

  • Caesar Tower

Illuminated by over 700 candles! To complete the enchantment, the enchanting sounds of the harp will resonate in the guardroom. From 8.30pm to midnight - Price 3 €.

  • Roseraie de Provins

Start your evening in this magnificent garden with a breathtaking view of the medieval city. Aperitif tray and tea room on the terrace, store and exhibition open to the public. Open continuously from 10am to 9pm - Price €7 - Free for children under 12.

  • Torchlight guided tour

A visit by torchlight to discover Provins between shadow and light. Torches for adults only, lanterns for children. Departures at 9:30 pm, 9:45 pm, 10 pm, 10:15 pm, 10:30 pm from Porte Saint Jean. Duration 1h30. Limited number of places - Price €12.

  • Equestrian show

Presented by the Equestrio company, in the ditches of the ramparts at Porte Saint Jean. "By candlelight, our horses of fire will appear, full of charm and poetry. The flames will rise, and our steeds will dazzle you with equestrian prowess, acrobatics, stunts and dressage. Performances at 9:30 pm and 11:00 pm. Duration 30 min. Adult price €15 and €11 for children (aged 4 to 12).

  • Tales from underground

Enter the enchanting world of the Middle Ages, with its stories of witches, fairies, ogres and dragons... follow a strange character, the wolf meneu! Departures at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm and 11pm. Duration: 45 min. Limited number of places - Price: €16 per person. Ages 8 and up.

  • Dramatized tour

Discover the exceptional illumination of the Provins ramparts at nightfall! A fun and interactive format, where young and old alike go in search of a mysterious wolf hidden among them... Departures at 8:30pm and 10:30pm, allée des Remparts, opposite the Tour aux Engins. Duration: 1h30. Limited number of places - Price: €16 per person. Ages 6 and up.
