Fancy a cocktail out of the ordinary? Head for Paris's 10th arrondissement to (re)discover Divine, Nicolas Munoz's cocktail bar!

Summer 2019 has brought in its wake a number of bar openings to host your aperitifs with friends. In the 10th arrondissement, the new Divine cocktail bar opened on rue d'Hauteville. But 2020 wasn't kind to these establishments, as coronavirus was the order of the day, and the reopening of the bars was a lifesaver for many gourmets and other cocktail lovers.

At the helm of Divine is Nicolas Munoz, the man behind Bisou. Like Bisou, this bar aims to democratize cocktails, with a menu designed for amateurs and neophytes alike.

In this new retro-modern spot, with a pretty disco ball on the ceiling, you can discover the many cocktails on the menu. Here are just a few of them:

  • Ekizochikku : Umeshu, campari, Fino sherry, coco, verjuice, aquafaba
  • Fleur: mezcal, sake, pink vermouth, rinquinquin
  • Bang: Fortaleza tequila, ginger, walnuts, honey water from the roofs of Paris, CO2
  • PMP: Vodka, passion, vanilla, yellow lemon, lactose, Champagne Fleury

And many other surprises... !

We were able to try out the cocktail menu, and one thing's for sure: you can expect some surprising drinks! We were tempted by the Ekizochikku, the PMP, the Bang and the Coco 3000, an effervescent cocktail made with coconut and rum, among others. Beyond the originality of these creations, which are a far cry from the classic Piña Colada and Mojito, it's the skilful blend of liqueurs and other liquids, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that makes all the difference. A perfect balance and cocktails that deserve a detour to the Grands Boulevards to discover them.

Now you're tempted? Wait until you see the food menu created by chef Lina Caschetto (ex Pasdeloup, Cantina). The menu features nachos, a fried chicken sandwich, wings, tempura with flowers and seasonal vegetables, a grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions and mint-coriander sauce, samosasand even a banana split, to finish on a sweet note.

In short, a great address to discover for those looking for something out of the ordinary...
