Bar Les Ombres: cocktails & tapas on the rooftop of the Musée du Quai Branly overlooking the Eiffel Tower

When Paris takes on the Riviera, it's on the rooftops! Every summer, the terrace of Bar Les Ombres atop the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is transformed into an urban oasis, with a theme as polished as the view. This season, we're heading for the Mediterranean: sunset, cocktails and tapas in the Southern style, with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.

In Paris, some rooftops have a knack for reinventing summer. Bar Les Ombres, perched atop the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, is one of them. Every June until the end of the season, this spectacular terrace is transformed around a new theme. This year, the compass is pointing due south: welcome to the Mediterranean, without leaving the 7th arrondissement.

The open-air ephemeral bar unfurls its charms opposite the Eiffel Tower, with a breathtaking view of the Trocadero, the Seine below and the Right Bank in the background. As the sky turns golden, the panorama becomes purely hypnotic.

Soft, savory ambience, citrus scents and warm lighting... the decor sets the tone. When it comes to cocktails, the menu invites you to get away from it all. A royal lavender-infused spritz with a touch of Provence chic, an Amaretto and apricot cocktail for a stopover between Italian crostata and French financier, or an effervescent, herbaceous cocktail with the air of a cruise between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Each recipe evokes a delicious stopover.

To complete this journey, Alexandre Sempéré - who worked in Alain Ducasse's kitchens - offers a selection of summery tapas-style bites to nibble on: savoury, sweet, iced, they can be enjoyed with the fingertips in a light, refined spirit, in the wake of Les Ombres restaurant.

Every day until October, this terrace-riviera is transformed into an azure haven, from 5pm to midnight. Ocean hues, sunny musical ambience, technicolor sunset... A truly suspended moment between sky, sea and concrete, for a chic getaway above the rooftops of Paris!
