The number of tea rooms in Paris has multiplied in recent years. Unusual tea rooms, chic tea rooms, Japanese tea rooms... there's something for everyone. And the popularity of these tea rooms is showing no signs of abating. In fact, new establishments are due to open soon in the capital. Chez Yumi is one of them. Scheduled to open in January 2023, this Japanese teahouse is sure to tickle the taste buds of the many gourmands looking for something new in the New Year.
Behind Chez Yumi is Kayane. Her name may be unfamiliar to you, but it's certainly not to the large community of gamers. Kayane, whose real name is Marie-Laure Norindr, is a famous video game player. After entering tournaments at the age of 9, she quickly became THE fighting game champion. The e-sport star has 67 podium finishes to her name. " I was the first fighting game champion," says Kayane in a recent interview with Le Parisien.
In 2023, the champion, who is also a host on the Game One channel, will embark on a new adventure with the opening of her very first Japanese tea room. Named Chez Yumi ( after her dog's first name), this new gourmet establishment is due to open in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, at N°128 rue Saint-Maur.
Not much is yet known about this new gourmet spot, but Chez Yumi will unveil " a décor worthy of a Japanese tea room " with works by illustrator Sophie Griotto.

So stay tuned for more from Chez Yumi, and don't hesitate to follow Kayane on social networks.
