You've probably heard of Une Glace à Paris, the Parisian ice cream parlour that offers some of the best ice cream in Paris. But did you know that its stores also offer delicious hot chocolates throughout the year? And yes, not just one, but no fewer than 8 hot chocolates are on the menu for you to discover.
Among the company's hot chocolates, we discovered Tanzania 75%, the company's best seller, blended with Madagascar vanilla and Ceylon cinnamon. We have to admit, it's our favorite: well-chocolated, not too sweet and creamy, with just the right balance of cream and milk.
The curious will be tempted by theInaya 65% with its surprising smoky taste, and children (and older children with a taste for milk chocolate) by the Bahibé 46% with milk chocolate and hazelnut. The truth is, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to going there and coming back to try the fruity, tangy version, or the white or full-bodied chocolate version.
As a reminder or info, since 2015, Une glace à Paris has been the marriage of two skills of excellence, Emmanuel Ryon - Meilleur Ouvrier de France Glacier and World Pastry Champion - and Olivier Ménard. At Une Glace à Paris, you won't just find scoops of ice cream, but also frozen pastries with original creations, to share and also individually. Good raw materials, the right balance of sugars, you're sure to enjoy them.
There are two stores in Paris, one in the Marais at 15 rue saint Croix de la Bretonnerie and the other just off the Abbesses metro station, near the Mur des Je t'aime, 16 place des Abbesses. A generous hot chocolate costs €6.
And while you're at it, why not take the opportunity to sample some of our ice-cream pastries? You can't deny yourself a few iced macaroons (I'm particularly fond of the blackcurrant and fresh mint macaroon) or why not a Mont Blanc, for example. The duo has also just launched an ice cream cookie, a delicious addition to their homemade hot chocolate.
Last but not least, if you like your choice of homemade hot chocolate, the store sells takeaway equipment so you can prepare it at home by adding cream and milk.
So why not treat yourself to one or more hot chocolates?
