Tea time , yes, but chocolate tea time in the Easter season is even better! We're heading to Burgundy Paris this Easter weekend for 3 weeks, to enjoy a tea time that combines chocolate and seasonal fruit. All enhanced by the travel spices favored by Léandre Vivier, the in-house Pastry Chef.
In the heart of the 8th arrondissement, a sweet perfume of travel is wafting through the air. The Chef invites us on a sensory journey, with six gourmet stopovers, served in the intimate, hushed atmosphere of the Le Charles bar, under its glass roof bathed in light.
The Burgundy's chocolate tea time is like a collection of souvenirs from elsewhere: a delicate mille-feuilles egg with vanilla praline (a nod to the chef's Easter egg 2025), chocolate gyozas bathed in a surprising Thai chocolate broth, a nod to Bangkok, or a Peruvian chocolate Paris-Brest evoking a moment captured in Cusco.
Each creation is reminiscent of a destination, from rhubarb and elderflower for the banks of the Loire, to strawberry baba with wild cloves for Kandy in Sri Lanka, or chocolate and dulce de leche cacao brioche, a tribute to Rio de Janeiro. Special mention for the Arabica coffee and star anise millefeuille, a souvenir of Lombok, as graphic as it is fragrant.
Priced at €65 with a selection of Dilmah teas, or €80 with a glass of Champagne, this very Parisian snack will leave you longing for more. Exceptionally, it will also be available on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. For lovers of sweet surprises, this is an original way to celebrate Easter, far from the beaten track of traditional chocolate eggs.
And if you fancy extending the experience, Le Charles restaurant is extending the festivities with an Easter menu on Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21. Simple, precise seasonal cuisine, to be enjoyed on the elegant patio, spring skies permitting. À la carte: grilled green asparagus, brousse and peas with tarragon, roast rack of Perche lamb with white beans confit à la panzetta, and a chocolate-chai cake that elegantly concludes the meal.
In any case, note that this gourmet snack is available from Thursday to Sunday, 3pm to 6pm. Don't forget to book!
Easter tea time at Burgundy Paris is a wonderful discovery for the Easter vacations and beyond. Savor the sweetness of spring with elegance and gourmandise, thanks to the refined creations of Léandre Vivier in the heart of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré district.
