Prix Goncourt 2025: A special menu at Drouant, the literary prize institution

Founded in 1892 by Edmond de Goncourt's will, theAcadémie Goncourt was established in 1902, and has been awarding its first prize since 1914 at the famous Drouant restaurant. What if, for the duration of a meal, you were to step into the shoes of an Academician?

On the occasion of the Prix Goncourt 2025, to be awarded on November 4, Drouant is opening its doors to gourmets for a cultural and gastronomic experience from November 4 to December 15, 2025: a tasting of the special menu signed by chef Romain Van Thienen, usually served to academics on the day of the award ceremony.

Available in 3 or 6 courses, depending on your taste, this menu, which (last year) cost €190, can be accompanied, if you wish, bywine and food pairings (additional €120) for even greater pleasure. For lunch or dinner, the experience begins with a glass of champagne, before enjoying the menu, which this year features dishes in tribute to the illustrious figures who have left their mark on the literary prize and the venue, to mark the 123th anniversary of the Goncourt.

Afterwards, if they're free, guests can explore the famous Salon Goncourt and the library!
