Festival du Mieux Manger: free cooking classes and tastings throughout Paris

It's off to a festive week around food all over the capital, until June 17, 2023! Discovery workshops, tastings, cooking classes and many other activities are organized during the Festival du Mieux Manger!

This week, it's all about good food at the Festival du Mieux Manger! Until June 17, 2023, cooking classes, tastings, local farmers' markets and other free gourmet events are taking place in every arrondissement of the city, to promotesustainable agriculture and good food! In a festive spirit, associations and local businesses offer you local, sustainable activities!

And don't forget the activities on Saturday June 17, in conjunction with the Journées nationales de l'Agriculture, to discover a wide range of trades and local produce! The full program can be found on the website of the City of Paris, which is organizing the event.

Some not-to-be-missed events

  • Culinary blind test - June 13 (9th)
Participants will be offered a series of dishes, and asked to guess the vegetables that (normally) have no place in their recipes! Once they've found the vegetables, participants will have to match them to the right plants and leaves, as well as to the right seasons. The winners will go home with vegetables from the AMAP!
  • Tasting of crêpes and fresh juices made from unsold produce - June 13 (13th)

The food bike, "La Cyclo Popote", offers crêpes and juices made from fresh produce recovered from the markets, all created by nless local chefs.
  • Palais de la Femme shared kitchens - June 14 (11th)
Presentation of the Palais de la Femme's shared kitchens in conjunction with the Toques en Stock association, where two projects linked to access to quality food for households in precarious situations meet.
  • Rien ne se perd, tout se cuisine... en Toscane - June 14 (11th)
Participants will embark on a culinary journey through Tuscany. Accompanied by nutrition specialists, they'll discover the secrets of Italian pasta, with antigaspi recipes based on unsold/discarded products.
  • Smoothie bike workshop: make your own seasonal fruit smoothie - June 14 (18th)

The association offers an activity with its smoothie bike, where participants peel, cut and pedal their way to a vitamin-packed snack made with seasonal fruit.
  • Se faire du bien en mangeant - June 15 (9th)
Tasting of Vegan, raw and gluten-free products made in Paris.
  • Disco Soupe at Jussieu - June 15 (5th)

Come and prepare a soup with fresh produce and music: peeling, cutting, cooking, mixing and distribution on the Place de Jussieu.

  • Learn to bake your own natural sourdough bread with Farinez'vous - June 14-16 (13th)
Learn how to knead, shape and bake your own sourdough bread, so you can make your own at home!
  • Festival closing day - June 17 (19th)

The festival week will come to a close at Place des Fêtes (19th arrondissement), with a showcase of the players who work every day to produce, promote and sell organic, sustainable and local products. Bring the whole family to take part in workshops and events, discover, taste and/or buy these products, and meet the services of the City of Paris and its partners.
  • Participatory meal: come and cook and share a convivial, high-quality meal! - all week (13th)
Les Petites Cantines Paris is a place where good food goes hand in hand with conviviality! You're welcome to stay for the meal and the clean-up - it's free!
