Head for the Place de la Porte Maillot this Saturday, May 17, 2025 to discover the first edition of "Maillot à table", a free food and festive festival organized by the 17th arrondissement town hall to celebrate gastronomy from around the world.

This Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Place de la Porte Maillot is transformed into a crossroads of flavors for the first edition of Maillot à Table, a culinary festival organized by the Mairie du 17e arrondissement. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the town hall invites us to take a gustatory journey through more than 15 countries, without leaving Paris, with tastings, cultural events and conferences. And admission is free with online registration!

The festival puts the spotlight on international gastronomy, with stands representing countries such as Korea, Haiti, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldavia, Peru, the Philippines, San Marino and Zimbabwe. Each stand offers an immersion in the flavours and culinary traditions of these nations. In 2025, the year of Brazil in France, the Portuguese-speaking world is in the spotlight: Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, East Timor and several Portuguese communes will be showcasing their cuisine, crafts and culture.

The talents of the 17th arrondissement are not to be outdone. Catering schools such asEPMT, Lycée Jean Drouant and MEDÉRIC are taking part in the event to showcase local know-how. On the culinary side, several local chefs will be sharing their creations, including :

  • Enrique Casarrubias, Michelin-starred chef
  • Yoshi Nagato, Michelin-starred chef
  • Mercedes Ahumada, 17th arrondissement chef
  • Vincent Salur, pastry chef
  • Renaud Ramamourty, Top Chef contestant in 2010 and 2022

A rich program punctuates the day: folk shows, concerts, conferences, and a VIP lounge dedicated to cultural and economic exchanges. The program includes

  • 11am: Festival opening
  • 11am - 12:30pm: PinoyJam show (Philippines)
  • 12:30 pm: Official opening
  • 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Portuguese concert (Sertã)
  • 2:30 pm - 3 pm: Kazakh music (Abaï Cultural Center)
  • 3pm - 4pm: Conference on three Portuguese regions (Palais des Congrès)
  • 3 - 4 pm: Georgian folklore group
  • 4 - 5 pm: Rancho Estrelas de Batignolles (Portugal)
  • 7:30pm - 9pm: Concert by Gaukhar (Kazakhstan)

Sanitary facilities are available at the Palais des Congrès, a water point is accessible on site (remember to bring your water bottle), and we recommend that you bring change for booths that don't have a payment terminal. The event is free with registration, so remember to reserve your place in advance.
