Calling all lovers of sweet Italian flavors. Head for the Batignolles district of Paris to discover Giovanna, the new Clan des Mama trattoria. What's on the menu? A colorful, relaxed setting, generous gourmet cuisine and delicious drinks for an aperitivo just like in Italy!

There's no shortage of Italian addresses in Paris. From the more unusual to the traditional and the unmissable... restaurants that pay homage to the tasty products of the boot are numerous. And then there are the new trattorias that are determined to make their mark on the landscape of fine Italian cuisine in Paris.

Among them is Giovanna. The latest addition to the Clan des Mama family, this new restaurant opened in early 2023 in the heart of the Batignolles district, in the 17th arrondissement. And Giovanna has all the hallmarks of a true trattoria: a colorful decor with arelaxed atmosphere, where Italian spirits are proudly lined up not far from the bar, a generous and tempting menu with many words in Italian, a fine menu of pizzas, antipasti (arancini tartufo, bruschetta pomodorini, squid à la romaine...), not forgetting a selection of clever Italian beverages (7 different Spritz) and wines from the boot.

In the kitchen, Chef Alfredo Piccirillo makes our taste buds tingle with his 100% Neapolitan pizzas. On the menu? No less than 16 pizzas, including two calzones and two vegetarian ones, such as the tasty " Tullia ", made with Fior di latte, black truffle, delicious Burrata, mushrooms and Grana Padano.

Also on the menu is the unmissable Margherita, made with a 48-hour mature dough and kneaded on site. For those wishing to discover less traditional flavors, opt for one of Chef Alfredo's creations, such as the " Gabriella " , featuring tomato sauce, fleur de lait, 16-month PDO Parma ham, PDO Gorgonzola, fig and walnut jam.... all made with a variety of Italian products (Nduja, Spianata, Provolone piccante...) sourced directly from the four corners of Italy (Puglia, Tuscany, Lombardy, Piedmont...).

If you prefer pasta, Giovanna offers 5 suggestions, including the generous and ultra gourmet plate of Mafalde with truffle, truffle shavings, truffle cream and Grana Padano. Alternatively, opt for linguine with Pecorino and black pepper, or the unmissable Spaghetti alla Carbonara.

If you've still got room for a little sweetness, we'd urge you to try our homemade tiramisu or ricotta cheesecake, enhanced by a hint of lemon. A fresh, tangy dessert just the way we like it! Of course, Giovanna also makes other classics, such as her famous ice creams and affogato.
