KONG celebrates its 10th anniversary and renovates

Do you know the KONG, this famous restaurant designed by Starck with an incredible glass roof overlooking the Pont Neuf? For its 10th anniversary, the restaurant is being renovated to offer you the most refined and welcoming cocktail bar. It's time to (re)discover it and sip a drink in this place that invites you to travel!

The Kong, this Restaurant-Club-Cocktail Bar, born in 2003, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To celebrate this anniversary with dignity, the restaurant is getting a makeover with a restored and refurbished decor to savor the next decade in beauty.

And to redo its decor, it is once again Philippe Starck who has taken charge. After having created the Terrace in 2010, Philippe Starck intervened on the bar of the 5th floor. It is now a bar that combines the refinement of a hotel bar with the atmosphere of a cocktail bar, ideal for a successful evening with friends or a nice tête en tête with a lover. Note that all the Kong's cocktails were created by the chef barmaid Catherine Gonçalves.

On the glass side, on the roof, the space has been redesigned. If you have not yet tested the place, you will be seduced by the superb fresco created by Ara Starck. On this occasion, Ara abandons the Manga universe of the first days of KONG to bewitch us with intertwined hands, symbols of transmission and sharing.

In addition to the beauty of the place, the quality of the plate is also there. Richard Pommiès, the Kong's chef since the beginning, never stops reinventing himself to offer a cuisine that is both refined and accessible. A Franco-Japanese cuisine with an international flavour that appeals to Parisians as well as tourists from New York, London, Shanghai or Rio...

Beautiful flavors and nice combinations that I can only recommend.

On the turntable side, it is always Beatrice Ardisson who offers you a constantly updated and original playlist. From the Japanese version of Le poinçonneur des lilas to the latest Daft Punk, Béatrice continues to unearth real musical curiosities that only she has the secret to spice up the delicious cocktail of music of today and tomorrow.

On the clubbing side, Florent Garcia has been entrusted with the mission of transforming the 5th floor into a clubbing bar where KONG aficionados happily mingle. The ideal place to continue the evening after a delicious meal. Relaxed but not crazy, chic but not snobbish, fun but not hysterical, brilliant but not flashy, the atmosphere of KONG's parties is a clever mix of people and
of people and genres, always smiling and always different.

During a party organized for these famous 10 years, Sortiraparis had the opportunity to discover the place and to test this particular refined cuisine. A real delight for the eyes and the palate that I can only advise you.
