Café Kitsuné Louvre, the sublime café on the doorstep of the Jardin du Palais Royal, is evolving into a new spot for pastry lovers. With the recent reopening of its first floor, overlooking the beautiful fountain of the Théâtre Français, we've taken the opportunity to take a break and enjoy a gourmet moment, with lattés and sweets to boot.

How about marrying good teas and pastries? Café Kitsuné Louvre, which first opened its doors in 2019, is unveiling a new pastry concept by reopening its floor originally dedicated to restaurants.

Since January, the 67-seat upstairs restaurant overlooking the Place André Malraux has been open again, and is now ready to delight gourmets in search of tasty pastries.

Café Kitsuné in the Palais Royal has decided to partner up with a new pastry chef each month. Here we discover classic or exclusive creations on the à la carte menu, in the company of the house's fine coffees, teas and chai.

The first to embark on this collaboration is chef Kévin Lacote, who, we remind you, has an excellent salon de thé-Pâtisserie called KL Pâtisserie. For the house, he has proposed a pretty selection including the ultra-gourmand Paris-Brest pistache, Mont Blanc with blueberry confit and meringue suite and the Alfonso and a cheesecake revisited with fresh mango and coconut crumble. Also on the menu: a hazelnut and praline sablé with Café Kitsuné and an almond and yuzu confit moelleux, in exclusive creations.

Of course, all this is accompanied by a good cup of coffee or a latte with the various plant milks on offer. For us, it was golden and matcha latte with oat and soy milk, we love it.

For this month of February, Philippe Conticini 's beautiful creations arrive. Next up are creations by Johanna Roques, Hélène Deguen and Aurélien Cohen!

In short, there's more to come at Café Kitsuné Louvre! How about a pastry break after a tour of the Colonnes de Buren?
