The Hilton Opéra Bar-Café Restaurant and its historic setting

The Hilton Paris Opéra is ideally located near the Gare Saint-Lazare and just a stone's throw from the department stores. Created in 1889 for the Universal Exhibition and formerly known as the Grand Hôtel Terminus, this hotel, whose façade and Grand Salon are listed historic monuments, celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2019. Today, it retains the charm of yesteryear.

The first hotel to offer electricity, telephone and elevator, luxury at the time. Travelers used to be able to access the hotel directly via the Passerelle de l'Impératrice Eugénie. Now closed, this footbridge now houses the Café Dalloyau.

The Grand Salon, known in the 50s as the "Snack Spot", was one of the capital's hippest spots. The whole of Paris and young people flocked there at all hours, as did Johnny Hallyday in his youth.

The Belle Epoque atmosphere of this lovely setting is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a real lunch, snack, after-dinner or dinner break.

From 12pm to 10pm, enjoy a menu featuring charcuterie boards, croque-monsieur, shrimp baos and arancini to share.

The à la carte menu includes chicken burgers, caesar salads and spice-glazed chicken with pommes grenailles. A simple menu with exotic accents, created by chef Eric Lenormand.

When it comes to cocktails, chef mixologist Pierre Galéa and his team have plenty to delight you, with bespoke creations such as this delicious mocktail made weekly for us.

And of course, we end with a gourmet coffee.

For working people, note that the Hilton Opéra offers rooms by the day for teleworking. For around a hundred euros a day, you'll have the ideal, well-located spot, with on-demand access to a restaurant and all-you-can-eat meeting facilities.
