Looking for a relaxing weekend in the countryside? Nestled in the heart of the Saint-Germain-En-Laye forest, the Maison du Val, a new establishment of the Les Maisons de Campagne brand, part of the Les Hôtels (Très) Particuliers group, has been waiting for you since November 17, 2021 for a moment of relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. A second address after the one in Villiers-le-Mahieu, a stone's throw from Thoiry Zoo, opened in 2019.
Like its other address in the Paris region, this hotel has its own particularity: it offers individuals and companies the comfort and charm of a country house, without the constraints. No gardening, no DIY, not even meals to prepare (unless you want them)... Everything is done to make your life as easy as possible, whether you're planning a seminar or a quiet weekend with your family, just as if you were at home. Activities, cocktails at the bar, access to the Nordic baths, restaurant... It's all included in your stay!
Establishments that also make a point of allowing easy access to nature, whether in the surrounding area or on the plate. So, take advantage of the large park of this former hunting lodge of Louis XIV, go for a stroll in the forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, or enjoy the culinary delights of the house, with its delicious buffet dishes.
Here, you can live at your own pace, taking advantage of yoga classes, film screenings, Norwegian baths in the heart of nature, a games room, a library and board games. The premises, a magnificent residence once owned by Louis XIV and renovated by a duo of architects, are ideal for this lifestyle of relaxation.
As far as rooms are concerned, thehotel offers stays in its 49 rooms, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, to reconnect you with nature. The rooms are relatively simple, but offer all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay.
During the week, it's time for seminars, with an all-inclusive offer focused on creativity and well-being, state-of-the-art meeting rooms and a vitamin-packed, gourmet catering service, to get you up and running at 100%. At weekends, it's time for individuals, families, friends and groups to get away from it all. Everything is all-inclusive for these visitors too, with generous, top-flight cuisine and activities to match, all included in the room rate.
An experience that the editors were able to try out, for the weekend part. And we're not going to lie, the moment of relaxation is well and truly there! The setting is extremely calm and inviting, thanks to the environment, of course, but also to the warm welcome of the staff, who take great care of every visitor.
As for activities, we were tempted by the Nordic baths, ideal for relaxing our muscles after a long day. The warmth of the bath soon made us forget the coolness of the evening. The library is also very popular with literature fans. As for the bars, there are several on offer, with plenty of cocktail recipes for you to make yourself (no bartender, it's all up to you), both in the main hall and in the chapel, which has been converted into a relaxation area.
As for the bedroom, the bed is of course ultra-comfortable, leading you straight into the arms of Morpheus. And wherever you are, you have a magnificent, unobstructed view over the park of the hunting lodge. We also enjoyed strolling through the beautiful French gardens, where we could relax on the deckchairs provided.
For children, in addition to the cinema with its dedicated programming, there's also a games room, with everything you need to have fun with family and friends. Board games, darts, shuffleboard, karaoke, table soccer, pinball... The choice is yours! There's also a room dedicated exclusively to younger children, with educational equipment, for parents bringing their young babies.
And what about the food? Breakfast is copious and will delight lovers of the "English breakfast" style (with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and bacon...). For lunch and dinner, the selection of dishes is interesting, offering cold starters, a hot dish (served by the chef) and a farandole of beautiful desserts. Vegetables are given pride of place, with a variety of salads and purées, for a balanced, healthy meal.
The best way to disconnect at the weekend and put your brain on pause after long months of confinement. Shall we book our stay, folks?
