Looking for a great place to have an exquisite moment? Look no more, you need to go to Scorzo. Between affordable cocktails, tasty Italian food and live music to sing-along and dance, Scorzo has it all.

Scorzo is the latest restaurant set avenue des Ternes, likely to shake things up in the Porte Maillot area.
It serves very tasty Italian food and the place aims at being festive with lots of music and live.

From the outside, from the terrace still open this winter, no one can really get what hides inside Scorzo. For the new restaurant set in lieu of the Au Petit Marguery institution, has undergone a very incredible makeover. From the lobby, on the ground floor, you stand across the bar and the impressive pizza oven where the house’s new pizzaiolo fresh from Italy, Rocco, works. This ground floor features a few tables. But the most interesting is set upstairs.

The staircase leads to the boudoir, the coziest area in Scorzo with soft light, soft vibe and soft velvet chairs. A station with cocktail bar, where Spritz and Americano are served among with more recipes. The barmaid can also shake custom cocktails, suiting your taste. A place also featuring a grand piano. The boudoir leads to two more rooms, a bit brighter.

At Scorzo, one can enjoy flavorful Italian cuisine. The generous menu has been mostly elaborated with chef Marco Scorzo. He passed away in early 2021 and the restaurant has been named after him to pay him tribute. Because Julien and Lina Debache – the lucky owners of Scorzo – are not new in the business. Before settling in the 17th arrondissement, they were running the Fontanella in Puteaux, where Marco Scorzo was their chef.

Therefore, Scorzo’s menu starts with frito misto (squids, smelts, shrimps, zucchini) perfectly matching the cocktails. As a starter, you can choose between marinated and carpaccio artichoke, burrata and marinated squash and truffle shavings, or even truffle cream pizzetta.

Then, enjoy meats (Milanese, saltimbocca…), fishes (bluefin tuna, swordfish), as well as pasta and pizzas – the sinews of war. Tagliatelle, linguine or even tortellini, here many recipes are based on fresh ingredients from Italy. The pasta dishes – was well as all the other Scorzo dishes – are very hearty. The Tortellini al Fredo with truffle and parmesan are delicious and the king shrimp parpadelle with lobster bisque are even more.

As for dessert, although we ate very well already, you can get the classic but always striking tiramisu or a very nice panna cotta topped with mango ice cream.

After eating very well, and maybe too much, you need to eliminate it. And it is perfect since Scorzo is a festive place offering you to dance.

The musical atmosphere starts rather early in the night. Dinner is served with live music on Thursdays and Saturdays thanks to the XXL orchestra Musical Group. Therefore, twice a week, several members of the band come and perform at Scorzo. On the menu, songs from a wide and varied repertoire (from Claude François to Dalida, to Lady Gaga, Gala, Khaled and Louise Attaque). Musicians move around all the rooms of the restaurant to enliven your dinner, going from table to table, but it is not kitsch or embarrassing. When the atmosphere is on, it can turn into a giant karaoke before turning into a dancefloor.

Nights, especially on Thursdays, are crazy and wonderful at Scorzo. Although the neighborhood is filled with brasseries, such a place was lacking and is likely to keeps things very interesting around. Furthermore, rates are relatively affordable. Another reason to visit Scorzo for dinner.
